What is SchoolOrbit?
SchoolOrbit is school management software built for schools in India. It brings everything a school runs every day into one place: admissions, student records, attendance, fees, exams and report cards, timetable and homework, transport, library, payroll, parent communication and even the school website.
Many schools still use registers, spreadsheets and several separate apps. Fee records do not match the bank, attendance takes up the first part of every class, report cards take weeks and parents keep calling the office for the same information. SchoolOrbit replaces that with one connected system. Each person signs in with their own account and sees only the menus their role needs, whether they are the receptionist, a class teacher, the accountant, the principal or a parent. There is nothing to install, and it works in English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada and Malayalam.

Admissions and student records
Record an enquiry, turn it into an application and admit the student, with an online application form on your website and status tracking for parents. Every student has a complete record with guardians, documents, academic history and promotions, and ID cards with QR codes are printed from SchoolOrbit.
QR ID-card attendance
Teachers take attendance in seconds by scanning students' QR ID cards with the SchoolOrbit Android app. Only phones approved by the office can mark attendance, and a repeated scan never creates a second record. Manual registers are available too, along with daily registers, monthly summaries and absence alerts for parents.
Fees, online payments and accounts
Set up fee structures, class-wise plans and concessions, then collect fees in cash or online by UPI, card or net banking. Receipts are created automatically as PDFs, dues reports and reminders keep collections on time, and gateway payments are matched to invoices. Daily reconciliation shows anything that needs checking. Fee income posts to the accounts automatically, alongside expense vouchers, cash and bank books, and day closing.
Exams, report cards and AI help
Create grading scales, let subject teachers enter marks, approve mark sheets and publish PDF report cards with remarks. If your school chooses AI help, class teachers can press Draft with AI for a remark; it uses only marks, and the teacher always reads and edits it before saving. Every AI request is logged, so the principal can see exactly what was sent.
Timetable, homework and live classes
Build clash-free timetables for sections, teachers and rooms, set homework with submissions and feedback, and track syllabus progress. Live classes on Zoom or Google Meet show join links at class time and record who joined.
Parent and student portal
Parents get one sign-in for all their children. They see attendance, fees, receipts, report cards and notices, and can pay fees online if your school offers it. Messages reach them by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and important notices stay pinned on the notice board.
Transport, library, inventory and payroll
Plan transport routes, stops, vehicles and riders, with stop-wise fees, seat limits and reminders for vehicle fitness and insurance. The library handles the catalogue, issues, returns and overdue books. Inventory tracks stock, purchases and low-stock alerts. Payroll covers salary structures, monthly payslips and leave requests and approvals.
Certificates, calendar and visitors
Issue transfer, bonafide and character certificates as numbered PDFs with a QR code to check that a certificate is genuine. The school calendar shows events and parent-teacher meeting bookings, and the gate keeps a visitor log.
Your school website
SchoolOrbit includes a complete school website with five designs, your own colours, a photo and video slider, news, gallery, careers and mandatory disclosure pages, and online admissions connected straight to the admissions desk.
Safe, private and ready for many branches
Each school's data is kept apart, staff with money or settings access use two-step sign-in, and a full audit log shows who did what. Several schools or campuses can run from one account. Reports for attendance, fees and results can be downloaded to Excel, and the principal's dashboard shows trends and students who need attention.
